If you were away at the weekend you would have missed the following announcement... we are tremendously excited to welcome Bob Opperman as our new a.m. Lead pastor! Read more about Bob and Terry here, or even better, invite him out when he arrives July 7th.

In other news, the BUDGET was passed - thanks for all the great questions (Thursday and Sunday), and work that has gone into this! As mentioned it was the best process yet, with a real sense of collaboration in producing a financial framework that reflects who we are in 2009.

"Life is a Living H..." Part 5

This week pastor James Prette will teach part five of our 1 Peter study. In 1 Peter 2:13-25, the Apostle, Peter introduced the "Living Honour" we are to show every human institution. In that passage (June 21 message) Peter gave two examples of institutions we honour God by honouring (our governments and the work place). This week we will look at his third example (marriage) found in 1 Peter 3:1-12. Christian marriages are meant to be "A Living Harmony". Join us to learn more about this, and to participate in Christian praise, prayer, proclamation and practice.

Annual Church Picnic


May 24th From 12:00pm - 4:00pm at Eagle Beach
(by the rowing club on Elk Lake)

What do you need to bring (to share)?
If your last name starts with:
A – L please bring fruit/veggies or a salad
M – Z please bring chips or a dessert

Also bring (for yourself) - beverages, blankets or lawn chairs for your family to sit on, and any sports equipment you may want to bring
(Frisbee, baseball & glove, soccer ball, etc.)

We will provide the hot dogs and condiments.

Events for the afternoon:
12:00 – 1:00 - lunch time!
games for adults
games for kids
soccer for all ages
And to end the day - a candy toss


There will be something for everyone! Come get connected with other families from our church.
